Universal Beauty In Cyborg

Beauty in all things I feel originates from within. Whether the concept of beauty is born or instilled, one can always find comfort in the unexplained. The theme of my fractal art project is "Cyborg".

First, according to popular definitions, a cyborg is the fusion of humanity and technology. It is a being with both organic (human) and biomechatronic (technological) body parts. The term was coined in 1960 and made famous in science fiction comics and movies. 1

In keeping with the science fiction model of the cyborg, the human component is enhanced with technology. It can be limbs or part of various brain functions.

Once the fusion of the technological aspect into the human body, the human may become physically stronger or intellectually advanced. The enhancement may be induced by injury to certain body parts or for experimental reasons.

Most importantly, the majority of cyborgs that are presented in movies and other readings are equipped with the technological aspects on the outside, while the human body is encased in the more stronger, unyielding armor for protection.

The idea of what a cyborg should resemble has been entrenched in our society for decades now.

I wonder how will society portray the cyborgs of the future. Will these new type humans be able to navigate the universe?

I wanted to share a fractal art project I created that includes a cyborg interacting with my art.

The inspiration for my current fractal art project was an awesome fractal I created utilizing Apophysis, a fractal rendering program. I titled this fractal "Surrender The Universe".

I love the details in this pure fractal. I was thoroughly surprised that the completed image resembled a large swirling element. The colors that weaved throughout the ball resembles the numerous planets in universe.

However, for my purposes I would need to have rendered the fractal on a transparent background. I didn't do this at the time.

To pair with my pure fractal, I located an image of a female cyborg. It couldn't have been a more perfect match. The colors contained in the cyborg's outer casing were an exact match.

Moreover, the face of the cyborg was nicely shaped female facial feature. The background of the image worked well also. I was able to use the background in my final project.

I love how the face is slightly tilted toward the front. This would make my project even more dramatic. I also like how the cyborg's eyes are slightly looking downward. The red lips were an added touch I hadn't anticipated.

With arms removed, one can see inside the should part of the body and see machine parts.

My final pure fractal I included in my project was a design that I use as a shield or veil to either cover or as a background to add fullness to the scene. I feel this one worked to add splashes of subtle color in exposed areas of the overall image.

To complete my fractal art project, I uploaded all images into Canva. Utilizing my upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription, I was able to remove the background for my pure fractal and add it to the blank canvas.

Next, I added the cyborg image and resized it.

Finally, I added the background veil, enlarged it to cover the entire canvas. then forced it to the back.

I feel the combination of images blended well together.
