There was no need to scold Raegotta as harshly as they did. If the object of their criticism was to further shame and cast doubt on her family's heritage, then their efforts were indeed unsuccessful.
Raegotta knew perfectly well where her roots lay. Of that, she was proud.
She worshiped every fortnight at the place where the land meets the soft earth before it dips into the river bed. Of all animals that dwelt there, the ones beneath the water delighted in Raegotta's presence.
The light from the lamps swayed as the thunderous sounds of stallions
Raegotta prayed to the hourglass.
In it was her origins. A futuristic world where all beings were the same. Their development set in place centuries before by the misdeeds of a human race. The fallout was severe. The fatal results were evident.
Those that survived were forever changed mentally and physically. Of those people, Raegotta knew the world was different before the change. She just didn't know to what extent.
On her return to an earlier century, she tasted firsthand what bigotry felt like.
She wanted none of it. She prayed for her return sooner than her mission was scheduled to be terminated.
The rains came to retrieve her.
What she learned would last her a lifetime. It would help to spread the word to other worlds.
In preparing this fractal and generative art project, wanted to portray an unusual young lady who worships in a swamp-like environment. I utilized a fractal rendering program, Apophysis; and a generative art program, Wombo Dream.
My first inspiration for this project were the pure fractals I created that I want to highlight here. My first pure fractal I titled "WhiteFish Jumping". This particular fractal would serve as the base of the swamp. To my surprise, the fractal lightened the swamp area. The effect on the overall project was that the bottom of the swamp appeared ethereal as though the bottom had dropped out of the swamp and into an alien water world.
The remaining two pure fractals served as marine animals in the swamp. They looked alien in nature, so I decided they fit in perfectly with the scene.
My second inspiration for the human portrait was a lovely female image I located as a free source. Once I added a filter and transposed the image to dark, I felt the darker images worked well for the story. It also paired well with the fractal art and the generative art image.
To complete my project, I wanted to include a generative art image for the background. This image would represent the swamp area.
The text prompt was required, as it provided the software with a description of how I wanted the swamp to look. Below are my steps:

Result:
I added two additional free sourced image I felt would add a an eerie touch to the scene. The hourglass represents the young woman's hopes and desires for the future. The rain drops added drama I feel to the completed image.
Utilizing Canva as my design program, I was able to upload all images. Removing the background is a key feature of my upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription that I use daily for my projects.
Once I uploaded the Wombo image, I needed to duplicate it to create a full background. From left to right are my steps.
As I indicated earlier, adding the fractal created an alien look to the swamp landscape.
Next, I added the female and filled in her outfit at the bottom.
Finally, I added the remaining fractal images.
