The usual weekend crowd strolling down the cobbled street crossed over to the other side of Hawkers Boulevard.
Across the way, the large bell tower rang announcing the end of the hour. Juvenia rocked sideways one final turn. Hair tossed from side to side as though not a care, but decisions hung in the balance as each hour reminded her time was not in her favor.
Had it not been four months since her menstrual cycle, she would have posed on last time in a provocative posture facing sideways for the gawkers. The top of her body stretched backward, waist-length jet black hair hanging almost to the floor of the stage.
A wave of nausea rushed to her throat just as she rose from the cramped position. Only willpower forced it into submission as she'd done numerous time the past month.
She slipped on her robe, dismissing the onlookers whose loud, insulting remarks and profane gestures spoke displeasure with her profession.
Retreating to her dressing room provided a small measure of safety and comfort. But not for long.
The knock came swiftly as Juvenia applied the remaining eye makeup. Time spent preparing for her debut counted thirty minutes. The unopened letter slid quickly into her drawer.
Yes, it was an accident. A mishap. The situation was rushed. She didn't check, so she accepted the outcome. The deed was now done, and the seed planted. Harming her unborn was not now her intention. Until a solid direction became clear, she would do no harm.
But a delay in announcing her condition was crucial.
At least until the employment application to Belle Sophistaire in the Red Light District was approved. Only then would Juvenia have a decent salary and benefits to make an informed decision for her future.
In approaching my fractal art project, discovered an unusual image of a female with haunting eyes. Those spoke to me of a secret and internal conflict. I recently created a beautiful pure fractal I felt would pair perfectly with the image.
The star of my project are two pure fractals I created in the advanced version of the fractal rendering software, Apophysis 7X.
The first pure fractal resembled a spinning wheel. This would suffice for decision making as the wheels of thoughts constantly turned in deciding the direction to move forward.
The inspiration for my project came when I located the haunting image of a female. The dramatic look was perfect for my theme. Immediately, I knew that duplicating the image would provide a tug of war as to any conflict that arose in my accompanying short story.
Also, the black throne did justice to the scene.
I utilized the program Canva to blend all images as I required a background removal feature. Adding the female image first, duplicating ite was key to achieving a double division.
The throne of decision was next as a divide in her thinking.
I included my pure fractals at the end to complete my scene.
Below is the completed project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my fractal art project.
