Delve Into The Unknown | Mixed Media Art Projects for Cosmic Creations - Book Cover - Series No. 2

After completing and submitting my entry for the Cosmic Creations No. 9 Contest theme "Book Cover," I decided to share with you some additional mixed media art project related to the theme. I love books, and my collection reflects the varied interests I consume. However, my first love is sci-fi.

Here are my interpretation of book cover titles that I will utilize for future short stories, one of which is a sci-fi; the other, a mystery. Enjoy.

Book Cover for:

"ILLUSIONS OF LIGHT AND DARK"

PROCEDURES:

Uploaded images into Canva.

Used the following Canva free items:

Background Texture: Canva free template (Old Vintage Book Cover)
Fonts: Squada One / Klida

To a blank, white canvas, I added the book cover template "Old vintage Book Cover."

Added the mixed media art project I intended to use in the cover. Reduced size to fit in the center.

Added lightning; an additional lighthouse on the left hand side.

Added text to both sides of the cover and completed the project.

Book Cover for:

"MIDNIGHT'S CRIMSON EMBRACE"

PROCEDURES:

Uploaded images into Canva. Utilized free book cover template.

Used the following Canva items:

Fonts: Holla / Garret
Background Texture: Canva free template

To a blank, white canvas, I added the male image in water.

Duplicated water portion of man's image to create sufficient room on the right-hand side of the cover for short story title and description of book.

Added other images, then located appropriate fonts. Completed book cover.
