Hello, again with you, so as not to lose the habit, I am going to tell you that I am working on a medium painting, it is a canvas and the truth is that I am very happy with the results so far, I am not going to advance you much more at the moment because I want to make a future publication, it is not completely finished but it has very few details, maybe that's the main reason why I've been a little away from #hive.
Today I wanted to introduce you to a small job that I did this morning in a free time. It's a sunset on the main avenue of the malecón habanero, It is a wall that protects the city from the rugged waters of the sea. With almost 8km away, it is a refuge for all those who like to spend some time accompanied by the sea breeze and beautiful sunsets. Lovers who respect each other here in Havana cannot fail to visit the boardwalk wall as a couple one afternoon. It is also a meeting point for fishermen and all kinds of criers who pass by every day. It is for those reasons that it has been the inspiration of many artists, even I have been captivated by its magic.
Today I bring a landscape of the city that reflects a spectacular color, with several cars traveling at maximum speed under an almost golden light. My intention is not to capture reality, but to play with the environment and modify it to transmit that sudden movement caused by the acceleration of the cars, the time that passes without stopping and leaves a salty taste on the tip of the lips because of the saltpeter that the waves give off when hitting the wall.
It only took me a couple of hours to make this beautiful painting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you for joining me.
Presentation of the creative process
- With the canvas already previously painted with a base color, I started with more specific spots and in the form of an approach.
- I then located an old Chevrolet, one of those that have been remodeled to give tours to tourists in Havana. The owners cut the roof and modify it at their convenience, so they use it to make small tourist laps with panoramic visibility.
- As you can see, they are paintings that I already make very easy, I have been painting the city for about 15 years and I can tell you that every day that happens the charm of this old and colonial Havana between walls increases.

Hola, nuevamente con ustedes, para no perder la costumbre, les voy a contar que estoy trabajando en una pintura mediana, es un lienzo y la verdad que estoy muy contento con los resultados hasta el momento, no les voy a adelantar mucho más de momento porque quiero hacer una futura publicación, no está terminada del todo pero ya le quedan muy pocos detalles. Quizás ese es el principal motivo por el que he estado un poco alejado de #hive.
Hoy quería presentarles un trabajo pequeño que hice esta mañana en un tiempo libre. Se trata de un atardecer en la avenida principal del malecón habanero, es un muro que resguarda a la ciudad de las bravas aguas del mar. Con casi 8km de distancia, es un refugio para todos aquellos que gustan de pasar un rato acompañados de la brisa marítima y lindos atardeceres. Enamorados que se respeten aquí en La Habana no pueden dejar de visitar una tarde el muro del malecón en pareja.También es punto de encuentro para trovadores pescadores y todo tipo de pregoneros que pasan a diario. Son por esas razones que ha sido inspiración de muchos artistas, hasta yo he sido cautivado por su magia.
Hoy traigo un paisaje de la ciudad que refleja un colorido espectacular, con varios coches transitando a máxima velocidad bajo una luz casi dorada. Mi intención no es captar la realidad, sino jugar con el entorno y modificarlo para trasmitir ese movimiento brusco provocado por la aceleración de los coches, el tiempo qué pasa sin detenerse y deja un sabor salado en la punta de los labios por el salitre que desprenden las olas al golpear el muro.
Me tomó solo un par de horas hacer esta hermosa pintura. Espero la disfruten tanto como yo. Gracias por acompañarme.
Presentación de el proceso creativo
- Con la tela ya previamente pintada con un color de base comencé con manchas más precisas y en forma de planteo.
- Seguido ubiqué un Chevrolet antiguo, de esos que han sido remodelados para dar paseos a turistas en La Habana. Los dueños le cortan el techo y lo modifican a su conveniencia, así lo utilizan para hacer pequeñas vueltas turísticas con una visibilidad panorámica.
- Como pueden ver son pinturas que ya hago muy fácil, llevo alrededor de 15 años pintando la ciudad y les puedo decir que cada día qué pasa aumenta el encanto de esta vieja y colonial Habana entre muros.
