It's an old anime that mostly anime lovers like and this is "The Promised Neverland". It's not an adventure or even a Isekai anime but a dark fantasy with a thrilling genre.

Thrilling Story

It's about the orphanage with little kids Emma, Ray, and Norman and they were extremely genius in an orphanage where they discover some of the mysteries behind their place. A place that you could never imagined if it is right to lived there.

Emma and Norman discovered pieces of truth behind the disappearance of the other kids that never excel on their performance and they were told to be adopted when they got out from the orphanage.

At first, they plan to escape only the three of them because that's the easiest way and fewer people will know, the better that they can get out easily but for Emma, she wants to escape all of the children from the orphanage because she don't want anyone that she loved will die in the hands of these creatures outside the gate of their orphanage house. Even though she is naïve but she has a point and didn't want anyone she loved will be gone forever.

They decided to make a plan to escape using their knowledge and abilities to get out from the orphanage after they knew the truth about their situation. How will they escape if their mom always watch them from afar? and mom always knew where they are.

A Decisive Plan

They device lots of plan to make an escape from the orphanage but their mother (Mom in their orphanage) is always ahead of them.

Wherever they go, their mom can find them and it's like a living hell if you stay for too long because they know for a fact what lies beyond the gate outside the orphanage.

They made lots of possibilities on how they make an escape, there are risky ones and there are easy ones but they will choose a path that can make it possible for the children from the orphanage.

It's not what you expected

The children were like raising pigs and if they were in a right age then they can be harvested. A rejected one can be harvested as early as possible. A brilliant one can stay up to 12 years old and then they will be harvested at that time.

I've read the manga because I'm curious on the next episode on what happened to them. The ending is not what I expected, it's like a living hell for them where the struggle is real.

It has 182 chapters for this manga and I read it all. The ending of this anime for the second season did not give me a great impact but they were happy. When I measure it from first page of the manga up until the last chapter of the manga. It's like a curve of the mountain where you can see it's peak but that's it and it will go down slowly and slowly.

Thoughts

Emma's determination is the key for them to escape from living in the orphanage. Although she is naïve but she is the one that makes possible the impossible.

There were 2 seasons for this anime of this one and 182 chapters. For the first season, it was great and I can see the determination of the characters like Emma, Ray, and Norman for their plan to escape. I like how they plan to make it possible. There were lots of things that they would try so that their success will have a great effect from it.

In the second season, I can say that it's not that great although the animation was great but the story for the second season did not gave me goosebumps. There were scenes from the manga were not included in the anime. It's almost like they rushed the story of the second season. I was disappointed when I watched the anime for the second season and it gave me a negative one for this.

All in all, this anime is great and I tell you to watch only the first season which was a great one and don't bother watching the second season. You can watch it for yourself if you want to see all of it. I hope you like my review.

The second season of this anime sucks because it departed from the storyline of the manga, I honestly don't understand why they did that. Hope someday it gets a faithful remake, because the whole story is really intriguing.

It's a shame that the storyline one the second is not what we expected. It's like being diverted to other things than focusing on it. There is a big difference when you watch it in Anime and when you read it in Manga. One thing is for sure, there are clips on manga that they didn't include in the anime which makes it more bad after you watch it.

I've never seen it before and it looks like it has a really interesting plot. Thanks for sharing it 😊

This anime has been one of the best anime of the year. You didn't hear it? I think they also make a live adaptation about this anime for the first season because it was really that great. You should try to watch it.

A good season from start but got botched as they did not stick with the manga material. Too bad as it gets worse, I loved the first season as I rooted for them back then :(

The first season of this anime was phenomenal, it gave me adrenaline and suspense all the attempts to escape, I was afraid that they would take another child and end up like the first girl in the first chapter. It started with the right foot to hook the audience.

Although the second season I reserve my comments haha

When I saw this anime, the first feeling I got was that the monsters were very underworld, they caused panic at the mere sight of them and fed on children as if they were cattle.

Then when they unveiled the part where the monsters are good, have children and family and live as people of low social status, the anime was ruined. Since it removed the intrigue of the infernal and the gore and became a series without violence.

To the point that no child dies in the journey, so the only thing that one expected was to see how the heroine lost friends one after another, but not even that happened.

The series became family friendly and was ruined.
