Two Sports Manga That I'm Hoping To Have An Anime Adaptation... BLUE LOCK and BUNGO<3 <3 <3

What's up OTAKU(s)??!!! It's been a while since I wrote something here. Actually, I did write something a few days back for a contest, but today I want to share something that has been taking up my free time and my mind lately.

I haven't been updated with the new anime this season that much for several reasons. One, I've been rewatching a lot of sports anime with my mom for the past weeks during my days off. We have watched the following so far:

  • Haikyuu!! S1, S2, S3, S4.1 and S4.2
  • Kuroko no Basuke S1, S2 and S3
  • Kuroko no Basuke: Last Game
  • Yowamushi Pedal S1, S2, S3 (we didn't watch S4 because it'll be a cliffhanger for both of us)
  • MAJOR S1, S2, S3

Now, we are currently watching the fourth season of Major. I have now officially watched Haikyuu! eight times, Kuroko no Basuke two times, Yowamushi Pedal two times and Major... on to my third time. I don't know why, but I never get tired of watching sports anime. It's just too exciting for me. I'll be making posts regarding the anime mentioned above in the days to come.. :) I have written a lot about Haikyuu, but I think I haven't written my thoughts on the other anime, so please look forward to reading them.

Another reason as to why I haven't been watching new anime is that I've been reading manga and playing Mobile Legends a lot these days. Recently, I caught up with two sports manga and these are the manga I want to talk about today.

BLUE LOCK

It's a soccer manga but it's kind of different from the usual soccer manga or anime I've read or watched so far. It doesn't really talk about teamwork or strategies to win as a team just like in "GIANT KILLING". It's also not about working hard together with your team to get to the top just like in "WHISTLE!", "AOKI DENSETSU SHOOT!", etc... and it's not that unrealistic like "INAZUMA ELEVEN".

BLUE LOCK is a prison-like facility created and managed by the eccentric Jinpachi Ego to create his masterpiece and to make Japan the top country in the World Cup. It's a place where spikers all over Japan were gathered and somehow forced to win against each other. There are about 300 strikers who are to battle against each other and in the end only ONE will survive.

The manga is still ongoing, but the storyline is solid. The art style is really good and the scenes are exhilarating! I just can't get enough of it. The thought of having strikers play with and against each other as a team is really refreshing. There's a lot of challenges, friendships and betrayals in order to get to the top.

I really hope for it to have an anime in the future. For sure, it's going to be a hit and a lot of people would enjoy it as well. For now, let me continue reading the manga... and soon, I'll be writing more about it as well.

BUNGO

I dunno how popular Bungo is in Japan to be honest. So far, I have read and watched several baseball anime and manga, and I believe Bungo's level is in par with Diamond no Ace and Major. I didn't say Bungo is better than other baseball manga with anime adaptations already, but I believe it deserves a chance.

Bungo is the name of the main character of this comics. He's someone who has great concentration but only on a single thing. When he was young, he was given a goldfish as a pet and then his life revolved around it. Then, his sister and father introduced him to baseball (despite not having any knowledge about it) to take his attention away into something that can make him move his body. Later on, he became obsessed with throwing the ball on the wall.

There wasn't any baseball in his town and he couldn't play with anyone aside from the wall... that is until one fateful encounter. He met NODA which inspired him to become someone better.

I won't be talking a lot about it for now, but what I like the most about this manga is the explosive character developments, not only for the main character but for a lot of them. It's unimaginable and unpredictable in some way, so I just keep on reading.

Artstyle-wise, it reminds me so much of Diamond no Ace that I want to re-read the manga soon! I'm almost in the final available chapter and I just find myself getting more and more into the story. I can't help it! I just hope this manga would get more recognition and hopefully would also turn into an anime someday.

That's it for now... I'll try to check some more sports manga in the days to come... and of course, catch up with a lot of anime soon!! haha Until next time, Otaku~!! Jaa ne~!!! <3
