Finished Piece - Pencil Drawing

Hi all!

This is the completion of my portrait pencil drawing that I shared the progress earlier.

For a couple of months, I haven't made any commission piece with pencil. Most are pen and I rarely post them.

When the request for this one came up, I saw it as an opportunity to revisit my pencil skills. While drawing, I didn't find much challenge when compared with pen cause the strokes are same patterns - cross hatching - However, with pen, you need to lay multiple strokes to achieve that smooth texture but on pencil, you can follow same procedure or go easier mode by using brush or tissue to blend. Thereafter, you can proceed to lay more stroke.

For this one, I over layed the strokes for about three time with each stage being done meticulously.

After I was done with the work, I took a shot and sent to my client who loves it. Thereafter, I proceeded to framing and packaging it and get it ready for delivery.

For the final step, I decided to add a dark background to which brought out the beauty of the work.

Also, using a black frame is ideal cause it would make the focus to be on the drawing rather than the frame.
