Hellow fellow #IAAC members! Happy Friday!
It is great to be alive and I have been enjoying my day.
Fish Update #2
My fish is still swimming wrong, but I can tell he is doing better floataion wise, but now I'm just starting to worry about his health. He seems content to just sit way too much and would like him to TRY to swim around a bit. I have been chasing him around a little forcing him to swing which I thnk seems to be doing him some good.
Bottled Some Wine
This last fall I made a 5-gallon (19 liters) batch of wine from some scuppernong grapes my neighbor had grown. He makes his wine the traditional Southern way... super sweet. I like a dry wine so I didn't sweeten it after it was done fermenting. In general, scouppernaung wines take some getting used to as they have an distinct "different" flavor, and mine is no different. But it is drinkable, and it will get drunk!
I'm trying a new way to bottle it too. Normally I would put my wine in wine bottles w/ corks. But my wife and I have been brewing kombucha too, and have a lot of nice BIG grolsch style bottles with the flip caps that can be pressurized to a degree. Since the wine is meant for drinking, and not saving, I didn't really see the need to cork it. We can “burp” the bottles as needed and I think it might be nice to make it sparking.
Stay Safe, Stay Awesome, and Stay Alive
Hope you had a good and productive day. See you all tomorrow!
