I remember visiting the zoo in Kano about 9 years ago and was disappointed at what I saw. I didn't believe it was the same zoo I used to visit as a child. It's so sad that the Nigerian system is not well structured, so there's no provision to sanction those that are not taking proper care of the animals.

As much as I prefer those animals to be in the zoo for plenty reasons, for a country like Nigeria they should just be in the far wild biko
