Cheesy place for love birds
There are some places that you walk by and you know you have to get in just to see if it looks and feels as good inside as it looks outside. Toi & Moi Cafe is definitely one of those places.
Instantly when you pass by you just get those warm vibes and you have to give it a try, so that's what I did.
I ran across the street and decided to grab a coffee to see if the hype was justified.
How cute does this place look?
The romantic vibes
This is on a side street close to Oxford Street but it is in a are that is not too busy. They have a couple of tables outside as you can see and I feel like in a warmer day it can be a nice place to sit out and just enjoy the city.
The idea of this place is to promote a small intimate, cheesy romantic idea of a Cafe.
The drinks menu is very diverse. From hot to cold drinks they have a lot of offers and that is always a great thing about a place.
Quite a lot of drinking choices
I have decided to take a sit by upstairs by the bar. The shop is very small and cosy but it is not too cramped so you still get a lovely atmosphere without feeling that everyone is in your space.

The warm and nice vibes were great and since it is a small space it is awesome that the shop still get a lot of natural light. Giving a great vibe to it. Because with this small spaces a lot of times the lack of natural light can be a problem.
Look for example the details on the lights, I thought they looked very cute. It is small things like this that make places stand up for me.

The decoration of the shop is very eclectic and it looks really cute. Going with the team of the Coffee shop you have a lot of different areas where you can see people left their love notes to each other.
I was by myself so I was not even told anything about it. But I am guessing the waiters suggest to the people that come together to write something and leave it on the walls.
Both waiters working on the day of my visit were very warm, nice and helpful and that always contribute to the atmosphere of the place.
So this guys there definitely have the right mood to be working on such a place.

The expectations from the outside to the inside of the shop were achieved and I was not disappointed with the place when I got in, took a sit and looked around.
Another great thing about the place is that although it seems very small, there is a whole other area in the basement where you can sit and enjoy your time.
Ready to get your lock with your significant one?
With my order I have decided to go with my classic white americano and I have to say. This is the standard for a white americano. Anything less than this is unacceptable.
When the coffee was brought to me I first looked at it and I was happy straight away but scared at the same time. Because many times it looks like the coffee is very well prepared but unfortunately the blend of coffee used is really bad.
So I have decided to have my first sip and my mind was blown away. I was so happy.
This might have been the best americano I have had in years maybe.
Now this is what I call a white americano

The size was great, the coffee was very well prepared and the coffee blend used had a really good taste. I will for sure come back to this place, even if I am not a romantic person or have any other significant one.
Can you tell I was obsessed with this coffee?
Sometimes it is really nice to see this small details and they make the place a little bit more special. The place uses a very standard coffee mug to serve the drinks but it wasn't until I have turned it around that I have seen the branding on the mug.
Although and if you look closer it is also a funny one. Because I see someone giving a hand job to a guy, try to zoom in and tell me if you see it.

When you are get to the basement there are more sitting areas, although there is no natural light it still feels very cosy, the decoration it is on the same lines than the bar and area upstairs and once again you are surrounded by a lot of love messages.
So even if the place is full upstairs, maybe give it a go and ask if they have any available table downstairs. It is a very nice area.

If you are around this area in Oxford Street and you are looking for a nice place to have a good coffee and maybe take some time to relax or even want a cosy and nice place to go with someone you are romantically involved I would totally recommend you to visit Toi & Moi Cafe.
This was the ideal combination of a great space, with super nice service and an awesome coffee.
Or even if you are by yourself it is still a great place to stop. The fact that this is supposed to be a more romantic place it didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all the fact that I was just grabbing a coffee by myself.
Unfortunately there are many new places around this area that I want to try and visit so I don't know when I will be back at this place. But still even after I have tried this place and how know how it is I am very tempted to go back this week just to enjoy the nice coffee.
