No prizes for guessing where I found these mushrooms! Yep, that's right in one of my favourite places of all, the golf course in Oughterard, County Galway.

I sometimes head out to play some holes alone to practice and that's when I manage to stop and croach down and snap the mushrooms.

For first time readers who are wondering what Fungi Friday is, I'll say this, we've got Three Tune Tuesdays for the musically inclined. We have Beer Saturday for those who like a brew on Saturday night after a tough weeks work. Then there are Fridays, another favourite day of mine and Fridays mean Fungi Friday. It's getting to the time of year when I'm seeing loads of mushrooms on the golf course and elsewhere, they seem to thrive at this time of year when it is damp and not too cold yet.

As soon as I saw these mushrooms on an a recent practise round, my thoughts immediately turned to @ewkaw and Fungi Friday.

Here are some more photos this week's specimens. I love how smooth and perfectly formed they are.

I love nature. We can learn so much from her. Indeed humans have learned much from nature. Many of our inventions and innovations are inspired by nature. Would we fly in aeroplanes across the world if we did not observe birds and insects in flight?

There'll be a few of you who have no idea what Fungi Friday is, so let me set the scene for ye.

Fungi Friday

First things first, have a read of @ewkaw's weekly Friday post to hear all about it and get snapping the next time that you see mushrooms in the wild.

My golf course is great for mad looking mushrooms and it is in fact soon going to be that time of year when these guys start sprouting up around the golf course again and I always like sharing these photos as they're pretty cool if I may say so myself.

These photos are all my own taken on my Samsung smartphone

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.

Peace Out

I can imagine the odd stared I'll get if I'd stand or stop by having a photoshoot of fungi😂😂😂

Quite a judgemental country I'm in...

Maybe I'll join this contest next week😀
Happy #fungifriday

Ha ha ha, I always do it when nobody is around and the course is quiet 😁

Mushroom everywhere indeed, I guess the weather in Galway is palatable for them to grow and populate rapidly.....cheers to your golf course for hosting so many mushroom in it's space.

P:s. How's your cousin doing? Hope he is still in faith? God will come through for him.

Yes Galway this time of year is perfect for them to flourish, very damp and not too cold yet.

Thanks for asking. He is doing well. Working very hard on his rehab in Australia with Ken Ware.

Alright that's great to know..take care and happy New week

How much humidity is there in the golf course terrain, that makes these fungal colonies develop very well
What a beautiful colony of mushrooms you have found, dear friend @ablaze. Beautiful photographs, I appreciate you sharing with us.
Have a splendid weekend

Thanks my friend, the golf course is maintained to keep the grass growing very nicely on greens and fairways, so I guess the mushrooms get some benefit too.
