A few mushrooms for Fungi Friday

Mushrooms on the golf course

It's Friday and it's so good to see it roll around, as I had a very busy week with work, so the weekend landing is most welcome. What does Friday mean though? Ya the weekend has landed of course, but there's something else.

We've got Three Tune Tuesdays for the musically inclined. We have Beer Saturday for those who like a brew on Saturday night after a tough weeks work. Then there are Fridays, another favourite day of mine and Fridays mean Fungi Friday. It's been a while since I took part, but as soon as I saw these mushrooms on the golf course my thoughts immediately turned to @ewkaw and Fungi Friday.

Here are this week's specimens:

There'll be a few of you who have no idea what Fungi Friday is, so let me set the scene for ye

Fungi Friday

First things first, have a read of @ewkaw's weekly Friday post to hear all about it and get snapping the next time that you see mushrooms in the wild.

My golf course is great for mad looking mushrooms and it is in fact soon going to be that time of year when these guys start sprouting up around the golf course again and I always like sharing these photos as they're pretty cool if I may say so myself.

These photos are all my own taken on my Samsung smartphone

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.

Peace Out

Are those the magic ones? They look similar!! Get in!! 😀

The very thought makes me feel ill these days....

I don't think I would really like to either!

Friends of ours came over tonight with 'brownies'. Nope, nope and nope.

Lol. I could be feeling without that haze as well

Ya they do look like em. Hopefully nobody clocked me photographing them!! Ha ha, it was pretty quite that day so may have gotten away with it!

Love a fungi Friday. They are so magical, thing is, all year that mycelium has been growing out of sight! Hence we we shouldn't use chemicals ... most people think it's damaging to the grass when it's actually feeding it!

Ya the underground "mushroom internet" for want of a different term is fascinating.

Did you give them a whack with your iron?

Ha ha, nope I left them be, but if my ball happened to drop nearby, they'd have been well chopped!

It's true what you say, in #hive we have all kinds of contests for all tastes and that's great dear friend @ablaze
This fungal colony is incredible, I have never seen so many mushrooms in one place.
Have a beautiful weekend

Thanks for the kind comment, yes Hive is an amazing place for sure. So much room for growth just like those mushrooms!

I like your mushroom photos, especially the ones that include the little droplets of water on the nearby grass.

Thanks a million, ya I was happy with how they turned out, given they were pretty rushed.
