Mushrooms in my garden for Fungi Friday

Mushrooms from my garden

So these mushrooms werw growing in my garden and I said hey, Fungi Friday all the way for ye, so here I am.

I wonder are they edible?

I also wonder how we found out whether anything is edible. Who were the Guinea pigs back in the day that ate those red berries? They made them keel over and die and from then on it eas said don't eat those red berries!

Anyway back to mushrooms. These guys have taken up residence in my back garden this past few weeks.

Close Up

Let's get a few close ups of these bad boys so the experts among you may be able to identify the breed.

They don't look too dissimilar to Tawny Funnel Caps (Clitocybe Flaccida)?

What do ye think?

Or perhaps they are Honey Fungus (Armillaria Mellea)?

I'm no expert, but maybe ye know?

Fungi Friday

First things first, have a look on the #fungifriday community and scroll back to some of @ewkaw's Friday posts to hear all about it and get snapping the next time that you see mushrooms in the wild.

My golf course is great for mad looking mushrooms and it is in fact soon going to be that time of year when these guys start sprouting up around the golf course again and I always like sharing these photos as they're pretty cool if I may say so myself.

These photos are all my own taken on my Samsung smartphone

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.

Peace Out
