Garden Update: I Planted New Seeds (Cherry tomatoes, White Onion and Bonsai Eggplant)

Recently, we bought new seeds to plant in our home garden. It arrived last week, so I decided to plant some of them yesterday since it was my day off.

I wasn't able to plant all of them yet because we don't have enough good soil, so I just used the remaining good soil we had last time. :)

I prepared the things I needed to plant them including the seeds. Let me show you a closer look.

There are forty seeds in total, so I'm going to plant twenty of them in one container until they become seedlings. It's our first time planting cherry tomatoes and white onion seeds. We did try the bonsai eggplant last time, but it didn't grow... maybe because of the soil we used back then which wasn't so good that it hardens and becomes dry easily. Hopefully, it works this time.

I prepared the soil plus some rice hulls first.

After mixing, I water them... the soil easily shrinks with water, so I added more soil to have enough for the planting.

I then made some holes to put the seeds into... covered them with soil and water them. I also placed the label, so in this container, there are some cherry tomato seeds planted in it.

I did the same for the bonsai eggplant and white onion. Here are some of the pictures I took for documentation. :)

These are the white onion seeds. They look interesting, don't they? The color seems unique, but I think the "pechay" seeds have the most interesting color. I'll show it next time. :)

These here are the eggplant seeds.

Just like the cherry tomatoes earlier, I placed the label as well. In the photo above, we have the bonsai eggplant while the white onion seeds are as you see in the picture below.

It's been a night since I planted them and I'm not sure how long it would take them to have some progress, but I'm really hoping for them to grow well.

Once some seedlings appear and grow, I'd have to replant them in a different pot individually. I'm really excited especially for the cherry tomatoes since I love eating them. They'd be perfect combination for our lettuce.

Ohh... we also bought some lettuce seeds because some of the lettuce plants in our garden is in the brink of giving up. They've grown too big and old that they don't produce new leaves. Though some of them are still thriving pretty well.

I'll update you with these newly planted seeds next time... and hopefully, when we buy new good soil, I'd be able to start planting the other seeds as well.

See you next time. My student is late, so I just used my free time to blog. See you around!!! (^^,)/

I'm now curious how long it will take those seeds to grow. I've been thinking of planting but its summer season and I'm worried that they won't grow because of the intense heat.

I'm also not sure about it... I just hope they grow. I'll update here if there's any progress.. :)

I remember we had cherry tomatoes back then. They really give plenty of small red fruits.

Hopefully they will grow soon healthily.

I really hope so too... I love munching on cherry tomatoes... <3 Thanks. :)
