Hey friends!
It's been a while since I updated about our garden. Well, this post isn't really much of an update of the veggies we planted last time, but still related to the veggies we have in our garden.
The sprouts are growing steadily, but some of the seeds are taking a long time to grow sprouts. It's okay, though. Gardening really requires patience and care. I still continue my morning routine of visiting the garden and checking our veggies before I start my work. In addition, we also planted new seeds earlier today, but I'll be sharing the details next time.
Now, for the main topic...
We harvested our Chinese Cabbage (Pak choi) and also our spring onions to include it in our Valentine's Meal!!! <3
This was our Pak choi before we harvested...
This was the night after we took some of the leaves to cook..
This was a couple days after... The remaining leaf grew bigger and new tiny leaves are starting to grow again.
I couldn't take a "before" picture for the spring onions. I was actually working that time when my parents decided to cut some to include as ingredients for our dish. lol Anyway, here's a not so clear shot of the spring onions after harvest.
When they told me that they already harvested, I couldn't document it... but at least, I could still show the remaining parts. haha Anyway, here's what we had that night for dinner.
The meat ball and the spring roll were actually leftovers from lunch and mama wanted to have them differently for dinner. This is just her experiment dish, but it was actually yummy. I'm extra happy to see the greens in this dish because they're actually from our garden. <3 I really hope for our other plants to grow well in the coming days.
By the way, our regular okra and tomato seedlings grew bigger, so we would have to replant them soon. Same goes for the chili in our front yard, though I don't have a picture of... but will show you next time. :)
Aside from the veggies, we also have several ornamental plants, herbal and flowering plants in our garden. I took a picture of one of our roses last time because it was so pretty, so let me share it here as well.
Lastly, there is something I want to ask...
Do you know what that brown hairy thing is? I noticed it this morning in one of our orchids. At first, I thought it was a hairy worm called til-as in our language, but there are some leaves growing in them. It was also kind of hard... so it was obviously not what I thought it was. xD
Thanks in advance to those who could answer me. :)
Anyway, I'll end this post here. I'll be writing more updates soon... hopefully, by tomorrow? But I'm not sure if I'll have enough time or not... will do my best! See you around!!!
