Community Garden Update: After A Month, Some "Okra" are Ready to Harvest + The Changes <3

I visited the community garden the other day and the plants have been growing pretty well. Some of the "okra" or lady's fingers are even ready to harvest. Let me give you a tour as to how it currently looks.

This is the view from the entrance of the garden. You can really see some difference from the update I shared a month ago. If you missed that, you can check it here.

The people in our community takes care of it daily. My family are in charge of watering it every afternoon, while the others clean the area.

In my case, I usually help in planting or taking out weeds on the weekend together with some of the kids in our community. Take a look at our okra or lady's fingers below.

Isn't it great?? haha Some of them are even ready to harvest. These are the regular ones. The bonsai or the smaller ones aren't ready to be harvested, yet... but there are some really cute vegetable buds.

On the other side there are cute bonsai or small okra or lady's finger plants. Behind it is lemon grass and if I'm not mistaken, they planted some ginger beside it.

There's also Kangkong or Water spinach beside it. Let me show you a separate picture of it.

In the Philippines, some people enjoy eating either "adobong kangkong" or ginisang kangkong (stir-fried water spinach). I also really like it. It's delicious!

We also planted several moringa plants in the garden, but this one has the most leaves. You can actually include this as an ingredient in so many dishes. I remember my mama even made moringa balls in the past. It's meat ball with moringa leaves.

On the side, we planted malabar spinach mostly. It's also delicious and can make a simple dish extra special. In some spaces, we also inserted some tomato plants.

You can also see some lettuce and chili plant beside it.

Once the bell pepper seedlings I replanted last weekend grows bigger, we're going to replant some of them here as well to add more variety in the community garden.

And that's it for this update. Thanks for checking out our community garden. I'll be posting more updates in the days to come. Have a great one! (^^,)/
