Belated Happy Father's Day to all fathers here. :)
It was Father's Day last Sunday and I got the chance to celebrate it with my parents and my best friend's family. We decided to have a small celebration at home. My parents and I prepared some barbecue while I and my best friend's wifey decided to make some milk tea.
It was a fun day with them. We all prepared the food and drinks together and of course, enjoyed eating them!
In the morning, papa and I prepared the meat mama marinated the night before by skewering them in a barbecue stick. It was easy to do so because we already pre-cooked the meat, so it was already soft.
We took turns in grilling them... but it was mostly mama and papa because bestie's wifey and I had to create our bubble milk tea for the first time by ourselves. haha
Above are the stuff we used... and as for the ingredients, we already prepared it by boiling the tapioca pearls and in the picture, soaking it in water with brown sugar to add some flavor to it. We also placed two bags of black tea on each mug of water. We're making some extra so she could take home with them later that night.
Aside from cooking the tapioca pearls, everything else was just mixing. We just put the pearls, sugar, tea and fresh milk in one container. We can just add some ice or just place them inside the fridge. In our case, we placed it in the freezer, so we weren't able to drink it until later that night, but it was indeed delicious. I'm not a fan of tapioca pearls, but I like milk tea. <3
Dinner time came and we were able to enjoy what we prepared together... except for the milk tea. haha We did enjoy it a couple hours later. lol
Just look at these fathers enjoying. haha My father and my best friend are singing while drinking a couple bottle of beer. It was really fun. Well, it was their special day after all. It's nice to celebrate and give honor to our hardworking fathers, dads, papas, tatays, etc.
Well, it's not just them who were enjoying that night. Another guy was having the time of his life on the opposite side of this room.
This little guy here, my best friend's son was enjoying his bath. haha It was so funny how excited he was to take a bath. He really loves soaking himself in water.
It was a very fun-filled Father's Day and weekend, indeed. <3
