RE: Quick, run for the hills......The robots are coming!

Fantastic article @ablaze! I couldn't agree more. I have actually bookmarked this article to discuss with my hubby who is a Control Systems and Automation engineer. He was talking about Python the other day. I am very interested to hear his take on these other programming languages that you have mentioned. I'd like to give our kids more exposure to programming languages too; at this stage possibly just through holiday camps and online integrations with gaming platforms. Eldest already has his own Minecraft server so we thought that would be a fun angle for him to use too. !PIZZA !ALIVE

Hey there, thanks for the kind words. My eldest (8) has attended a few coder dojo camps online and really enjoyed them. They introduce the kids to programming, automation and robotics. My son loved it. He wants to be a computer game designer or a YouTuber!! 😁😁

Yeah, I need to take a look around and see what's available. They were going to do them last summer but the dates didn't work out. I think any keen interest in this area should be encouraged and supported. It may morph into something else down the line, but the foundation blocks will be there and the passion ignited. !PIZZA

Ya definitely, I remember finding a book with my Amstrad computer way back in the day. It was Visual Basic and had programs you could type in to make a little pixel man walk across the screen. That got me interested in computers and ended up working in that field.
