Wow! Hiking in Japan's countryside must be so wonderful with everyone so polite, respectful, disciplined and tidy. It would be so cool to actually spend time with a Japanese family and experience their lifestyle. I can imagine you immersing in the language when you go there.
I agree... :) I think immersing with the locals would be a fantastic experience. ^^ I sometimes talk with my Japanese friend for practice, but it's still so difficult. I run out of energy almost immediately. haha xD

Sometimes they just say "faito!" hahaha but if you're telling someone to do their best, they usually say "ganbatte/ganbare" :)
