Greetings Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia! I hope this weekend has treated you well.

It has now been almost 60 days since we had "Hardfork 25" here in Hivelandia, and one of the big changes was going to be how curation — i.e. our voting — would be calculated, and how that might affect our rewards.

So, this morning I decided to take a closer look:

The above is a screen shot of my "Curation Rewards" graph on @peakd, covering the period from about May 10th through August 29th. That very tall "spike" in the center was the curation glitch immediately following HF25.

My curation pattern has not changed in the past six months, and the only thing that different (and EASIER!) is the fact that I am no longer paying attention to the "5 minute mark" when reading and voting on posts. I just find posts I like... period.

I drew in the pale yellow horizonal line to make comparison easier. As you can see, my curation rewards did increase a bit since HF 25! And that's pretty cool.

Just for reference, I should also add that I have had a fairly consistent amount of Hive Power, through this experience, just growing slowly. I had about 1,850HP at the left side of the graph, and currently have a little over 2,000HP... not enough of a change to account for the magnitude of the difference, which I would say is an increase on the order of 25-30%.

Of course, that's the effect for an account my size. No telling how the difference might work out for anyone else!

Anyway, I just thought it would be an interesting thing to explore, now that we have about 60 days of track record gone.

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
