Over editing or not

If you know my style and you look at this image you already know that for me and for what I usually do, this is a very over edited photo.

In the majority of the time I prefer to keep the images as natural as possible. But that is just my favourite style and my personal preference. I do appreciate photos with more unnatural and extreme edits.

And to me digital editing is a whole other art. It goes really well with photography but they are 2 seperate forms of art and expression.

Experimenting, trying different stuff and trying to bring this edits to life is not easy for me. I have never studied photography in School and I don't have a lot of practise. So everytime I can achieve the results I imagine I am always super happy and proud about it.

I think with the advent of quick photoshop-esque tools for non-professionals, as well as AI assisted colour mapping on phone photography, there is a growing under-appreciation of the actual skill of photography and "post" shoot editing.

Yeah agree. Nowadays so mamy tools make it not only easier to access but also easier to use and create way more high quality and elaborate edits without the required skills to do it.

I totally take my hat off for those who have the vision and skills to do edits that are mind blowing. I can't. I don't have those skill sets.

It doesn’t matter to over edit the image as least you are doing your original and creativity on your own style. It looks good and still natural actualy

Thanks. Yeah I also feel it is still very natural. But just for me and what I usually do this is already a super over edit eheh :D But agree with what you have said.
