These Hats are called Pakol. They are used in cold weather as they are very warm. These hats have nothing to do with religion.

        No problem! Yeah, I have seen people wearing these types of hats and I wondered about them. Thanks for the info, I am always interested in learning about different cultures and styles of clothes. I was reading about them here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pakol. It's interesting how some of them just look like rolled up hats, while others are a bit more ornate.
