I do not seem to remember applause in parliament for "political" matters, to pay homage to the work of a government, of a premier.
This also happened today.
Incredible but true.
The Premier Conte was greeted with a long and heartfelt applause from most of the chambers.
Lega and Fratelli d'Italia clumsily tried to overturn the success, making it look like a catastrophe. A ridiculous bluff that even they did not believe and believed while trying to make a historic and powerful agreement pass as a mistake.
What remains and will remain in the history books are the figures.
Figures of an agreement that will lead Italy to have over 200 billion euros in loans and non-repayable investments.
Something sensational.
Impronosticabile.
These applause today are good for Italy, good for us citizens.
There will be much controversy, on how to spend it, on where to spend it. Let us not forget this historic agreement, this success. Of this applause.

Non mi sembra di ricordare applausi in parlamento per questioni "politiche", per omaggiare il lavoro di un governo, di un premier.
Oggi è avvenuto anche questo.
Incredibile ma vero.
Il premier Conte è stato accolto con un applauso lungo e sentito da gran parte delle camere.
Lega e Fratelli d'Italia hanno goffamente provato a ribaltare il successo, facendolo sembrare una catastrofe. Un bluff ridicolo a cui neppure loro credono e credevano mentre provavano a far passare come un errore un accordo storico e potentissimo.
Quel che resta e resterà sui libri di storia sono le cifre.
Cifre di un accordo che porterà l'Italia ad avere oltre 200 miliardi di euro tra prestiti e investimenti a fondo perduto.
Qualcosa di clamoroso.
Impronosticabile.
Questi applausi oggi fanno bene all'Italia, fanno bene a noi cittadini.
Arriveranno molte polemiche, su come spenderli, su dove spenderli. Non dimentichiamoci di questo accordo storico, di questo successo. Di questi applausi.
Non capitano tutti i giorni.
