I have been so many times to Palermo Ecopark, with different cameras and lenses, on family walks and individual visits and this is the first time I saw this fossil 🤣 It is a very extensive place and you lose your mind that so much to photograph that many times we don't notice other details and other areas of the place. When I had finished taking some pictures there and was walking back in a hurry I saw it to the side.

That's when I stopped for two minutes at the most and I was able to take some pictures.... I was in such a hurry that I could not get in or get closer to see in detail what it was really about, if there was a writing or something like that. Anyway I was looking on the web and it seems to be a representative *Smilodon* fossil.

I imagine that this section is another one of those planned for the recreation of the park to become a 100% ecological park, without animals and with a lot of materials and educational spaces in relation to the flora and fauna. I think I already have another reason to return once again after an infinite number of times hahaha a space dedicated to paleontology.

Obviously when I saw this skeleton I visually represented it in black and white and I said to myself "this has to be for the Black and White community" and well here I am doing my entry for the monomad challenge 🙂🖤

Like wood, bone has a lot of texture that comes to life when you take out the rest of the colours in the shot.

I would've done the same. I mean it's a freaking fossil right there and it's already posing.

Great ones!
