It was about time to come back with this kind of photography... Lately I have forgotten to take pictures in this style, I have focused on portraits, productions, leaving what I initially did when I started in the world of photography. These last few days have been very rainy and I took the opportunity to do this again. I didn't remember how impressive the city looks from these perspectives.
Here you can appreciate a lot and that is what I like most about this kind of photos, black and white, symmetry, reflections and architecture, urbanism and drama... That's how I could describe it.
Ya era hora de volver con este tipo de fotografías... Últimamente he olvidado hacer fotos en este estilo, me he enfocado en retratos, producciones, saliendo de lo que inicialmente hacia cuando empecé en el mundo de la fotografía. Estos últimos días han sido de mucha lluvia y tomé la oportunidad para volver a hacer esto. No recordaba lo imponente que se ve la ciudad desde éstas perspectivas.
Acá se puede apreciar mucho y es lo que más me agrada de este tipo de fotos, blanco y negro, simetría, reflejos y arquitectura, urbanismo y drama... Es así como podría describirlo.
These first photos were taken in the Palermo neighborhood in Buenos Aires, although unfortunately I didn't have my camera I didn't miss the opportunity and took the photos with my phone. As I always mention in my posts, it is more important and necessary a good angle and our imagination than a 2,000 USD camera.
Besides I always think that the main idea of a photo is to have an impact on the viewer, to generate some kind of emotions for those who appreciate it, so I also think that it is not about capturing what we see but how we see it.
Éstas primeras fotos fueron tomadas en el barrio de Palermo en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, aunque lamentablemente no disponía de mi cámara no deje pasar la ocasión y tome las fotos con mi teléfono. Como siempre lo menciono en mis posts, es más importante y necesario un buen ángulo y nuestra imaginación que una cámara de 2.000 USD.
Además siempre pienso que la idea principal de una foto es que tenga impacto en el espectador, que genere algún tipo de emociones para quien la aprecia, por ello también pienso que no se trata de capturar lo que vemos sino como lo vemos.
Do you realize what a simple puddle of water can offer us? Maybe a glass in the street, mirrors or even the screen of our phone can be used to generate a photograph of reflections. When our intention is to create, imagination must fly.
My preference for this type of photographs is undoubtedly mostly in black and white, I think they have a greater visual impact, don't you think?

¿Se dan cuenta de lo que un simple charco de agua puede ofrecernos? Capaz un vidrio en la calle, espejos o incluso la misma pantalla de nuestro teléfono nos sirve para generar una fotografía de reflejos. Cuando nuestra intención es crear, la imaginación debe volar.
Mi preferencia para este tipo de fotografías es sin duda en su mayoría en blanco y negro, creo que tienen un mayor impacto visual, ¿No creen?
