Reunited with My Not-so-baby Cousin -slash- My Son After Almost 2 Years... <3 <3 <3

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY2 years ago

After almost 2 years, I finally got the chance to see one of my favorite cousins again. It so happened that their neighbor are going to visit a family in the south, so they also took the opportunity to tag along. They used to do this pre-pandemic times and now that the situation is slowly going back to those times, they visited again.

They arrived around lunch time and would go back home in the evening because their neighbor would just fetch them the same place as their drop off place near our place.

Our doggy Arashi was also very happy to see his Kuya Godwyn again. He played with him and kissed him lots. He also did the same to my aunt. He was so excited to finally see them as well. Godwyn is now in 6th grade and is almost as tall as I am. Ohh time flies! My son (I call him my son since I took care of him since he was a baby) is no longer a baby, but he will always be my baby.

We don't really take a lot of duofies or the like, but we wanted to share this picture to another cousin who is also very dear to both of us. And immediately after receiving this picture, she video-called us. haha It was so funny because they actually planned to come over for Christmas this year, but suddenly, Godwyn and his mom ended up coming earlier than planned. Our other cousin playfully sobbed and complained how unfair it is. haha

After having lunch and playing some games together, we continued our video call for a long time until our phones died. haha I was hanging around in the room with my cousin while all three of us were having this video call. We were just talking about random stuff, plans for when we all meet (we usually have movie nights together when they come over), etc. Ohh! Godwyn also sang for us. He really has such a nice voice. Soon, we'll have karaoke at home and I'll try to record him (if I don't forget to. lol).

Before they went home, I bought him an Epic Skin for his favorite hero in the mobile game we usually play together. He was so happy that he became teary-eyed. He's just so cute! Well, he deserved it since he's constantly doing his best at school and everything that he does, so I just thought of giving him something that would obviously make him happy... (coz I'd be happy to receive such gift as well... we're such crazy about gaming)

We were only able to spend time for a few hours and it wasn't enough, but we'll be seeing each other soon again. Hopefully, the pandemic truly ends so we can do more things together. Of course, it includes Nicole, our other cousin. She's busy these days because she's now in college... also, I have to work harder to help these two. We're all "only child", so we consider ourselves siblings more than cousins.

There are still a lot of problems and challenges along the way, but I sure am looking forward to spending Christmas with them like we always do (except last Christmas).

aw that sweet! We all have our favorite cousins, mine I used to hangout whenever I go home to my grandma's Island.

Cherish this beautiful moment! ❤️

Thanks Gil... <3 It's really special to spend time with people you love. That's for sure... despite the age differences among us three, we still enjoy each other's company. <3

You guys look so cute btw

Hahaha... thanks! ^^

Nothing more valuable than time, especially time spent with loved ones. It is so nice to see you together and happy. Nice gesture for you to buy your "son" a gaming treat. Thanks for sharing this heartwarming post with us.

So true... we only video-called the past year, but finally we could spend time together in person. It's waaaaaay better than over the Internet. I'm grateful for the Internet, though, since we were able to keep in touch those days we couldn't spend time together.

His reaction was priceless. He couldn't stop hugging me and saying his gratitude. He played immediately using this and he said "Ahh... my hands are shaking!" and they truly were. Sometimes, we need to indulge kids. It's so nice to see how genuinely happy they are. :)

Thanks for posting in the ASEAN Hive Community.
