Ocean Park Escapade and Fun Bird Show With My Bestie... <3

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY2 years ago

I've been writing a lot of blogs related to my bestie recently and I'm very happy about it. We don't get a lot of chances to hangout in person since we live in the opposite side of the world, so we better make use of the time together. :)

I mentioned in my previous post that we both went to the Ocean Park last week, so I'm going to share some photos and our experiences there.

The Ocean Park is just across SM Seaside "aka" our favorite hangout spot. The mall is very accessible from our place, so we need not go to other places. As you can see in the picture, we just have to walk going to the Ocean Park.

It was around 11AM when we walked this road going to the Ocean Park from SM Seaside. It was such a fine day. The sun was up, but it wasn't that hot because of the cool wind. I guess it somehow helps that this place is near the sea.

It was actually my first time going inside the park, so I felt like a little kid going on an excursion. haha I was in two minds about going because it's kind of pricey, but my bestie insisted and told me not to worry about it. Thanks for sponsoring as always! haha

We went there on a weekday, so it's an advantage because we expect less people to be there. After getting our tickets, our journey began. :)

The Ocean park doesn't only have aquatic animals, there are also a bunch of birds and reptiles, so let's get started! :)

The Jungle Trek...

The aquariums around this area is indeed similar to that of a jungle. The area surrounding the small and huge aquariums are also filled with various plants and trees, so it gives you the same vibe.

I just found out that my bestie isn't good with snakes and other reptiles. haha She literally just walked straight without checking them out. Poor babies... hahaha

As for me, I actually enjoy looking at them and observing them. I was even able to touch and carry a snake in the crocodile farm in our city before. It was such an interesting experience. My bestie refused to go there, though. lol

This is just a very tiny area, but I like the sound I hear in this part of the park. The sound of birds really makes me feel at ease.

The area is tiny for people checking out the birds, but big enough for the birds to explore. Though I'd love for them to fly freely in the wild... kind of ironic. haha

There were a bunch of sea creatures and fish I've seen for the first time in person... and these are just some of them. I still have a lot of photos in my gallery. haha I could spend more time in this area, but there's a bird show going on in the amphitheatre, so bestie and I hurriedly went there as it has already started. haha

The Bird Show

There were a bunch of cute, beautiful and cool birds trying to show their talent in the show. They were so adorable... but still, I have this mixed feeling of having fun and worrying about them. Do you know that feeling when we feel entertained by how witty they are, but I wonder how they were trained or how they feel like doing these things for people... I know it sounds crazy because I enjoyed watching them, but at the same time, I want them to be free. haha -- weird

This place would have been my favorite part in the Ocean Park if it weren't too crowded. I suppose a lot of people enjoy this area as well. haha I can't blame them, though. It was like being underwater. I guess there are other activities you can do in this park which involves swimming. I'm not that familiar about it, though. I just enjoy observing the animals and the environment they're in.

Back of the House

In this part of the park, they have a veterinary clinic and this breeding room for the fish. It's nice to know that the animals are being taken care of. It was fun to see these baby fish.

After the back of the house, there are some walls with paintings of various sea creatures and information about them. Then, going down the stairs would be the restaurant.

The aquarium in the beside the restaurant is humongous! Haha We just passed by this part as well as the photo booth part and checked some stuff in their gift shop before heading out.

After staying in the Ocean park for about a couple hours, we headed back to the mall to buy some stuff and have our late lunch before heading back home. It was such an awesome experience and day with my bestie. The day after this bonding time was the day to say goodbye again. :)

I still have a couple more posts to share regarding my bestie's visit, so I hope you look forward to them. Thanks for checking this out. See you next time! (^^,)/
