Last Holy Week, my cousin Godwyn and my aunt spent some time with us. We usually do this on special occasions together with another aunt and cousin named Nicole. Sadly, my other aunt and Nicole couldn't come because Nicole had a lot of stuff to do for class and it was really rainy the days before. They live in the province, so they'd travel through a mountainous area and it wasn't safe that time since some places they'd be passing by are prone to landslide.
Anyway, Godwyn who's still a graduating elementary school student brought in some projects he needed to do and submit after the Holy Week and among them is a drawing of a camera and its parts.
Godwyn was able to find interest in art because of me. He saw me drawing and painting since he was young, so he also developed an interest in this craft. We sometimes draw together and I have taught him some tips and the like. Now, he has totally improved and I'm so impressed at his ability as an artist. This was what he did for his project.
Isn't this an amazing work by an 11-year old boy? I'm so proud.
Well, I did help him with the outlining or how he's going to present his drawing and some minor stuff by giving him tips on how to use the colors effectively, but he drew everything himself and it came out really great.
I provided him with some materials he could use and he seems to be enjoying what he was doing. I couldn't help but take more pictures of him whether with his serious face or happy one. :)

It's quite funny because we're both quite lazy to use the ruler especially when trying to write something in a straight line. He was quite afraid that his letters would form some mountains, so he asked me to create a guide for him. I wrote the label in pencil to serve as his guide and he proceeded with the labeling.
There were still things he was quite afraid to do when it comes to drawing, but I tried to encourage him and told him that it's okay to make mistakes. Even mistakes can become a beautiful art.
If in the future, he still finds art interesting, it would be awesome for him to pursue it even just a way to relieve stress or as a hobby. It would also be great to do some collabs with him someday. :)
I'm just so proud of the artist he become! I hope more children or people would enjoy creating art that would bring joy not only to themselves but also to others. :)
