Hey friends!! I've been away for a week, so I'm glad to finally share another post with you all. At first, I got a bit busy with stuff like cousins coming over, then repainting my parents' room and getting sick. Well, I still have cough now, but at least no more fever. Fever always makes me feel weak, so I dislike it. I'm still surviving, though.
Why did I get sick? I don't really know... one of my cousins who came over had a cough... plus the weather has been crazy and finally, the paint and stress all got me. haha I'm getting better now, though. I just ruined my plan of finally working (excluding my personal classes which I already started doing) again due to this cough. I hope to recover completely soon!
Anyway, let's talk about the main topic of this post which is my parents' room's makeover!!!!
As you now, I just repainted my room a couple weeks back. My mama really liked how it looked, so she asked papa and me to repaint their room as well. And here you go!!!
Yes, it's from orange to white again!!! <3 I was able to document the makeover, so let's check the progress out below!
First things first, let's take out the stuff from the bedroom to the living room. My parents have less things than I do, but their bed is very big, so we had to work with the bed inside the room. haha
Of course, we have to take out the curtains and this huge foam would be next. As you may notice, same as my room, we blocked the windows with some plywood. There are two reasons for this. The noise pollution from our neighbors give my mama headache lol, and the huge jalousie windows make the air conditioner useless. haha
These are the other portions of their room. We're still to take out the remaining articles on the wall and the dresser. We also have to take out this huge drawer. Then, we're good to go!
Taping!!! This really makes things much easier and less messy.
Mama wanted the whole room to be white because she loves white. We still have a lot of leftover paint from last time, too! Aside from the white base, she wanted the sides to be a shade of blue. So, let's get to it!
After I painted one and a half part of the wall, I suddenly felt dizzy. I was actually running a fever even before we started, but I wanted to help. haha However, my body didn't follow my mind. So I had to give up helping and rest. Papa had to continue repainting their room by himself, so he wasn't able to finish it in a day and had to resume the next day.
By the way, the blue paint papa bought was darker than what mama actually wanted, so I had to mix the paint by myself. It was fun doing it in a larger scale.
DAY TWO:
On the second day, my fever worsened, so papa had to continue by himself. I feel sorry, but I can't do anything about it. T_T
For the taped parts you saw last time, mama chose this color. It looks like chocolate, doesn't it? As for the plywood part, they decided not to paint it since they'll just cover it with curtains. Mama loves curtains, so we left it as it is! I thought painting it white would be much better, but we were worried whether the leftover white paint would be enough, so we decided against it.
The paint dried and they brought back the things a couple days ago, but I just took some pictures earlier today. I couldn't do so because I felt so weak the past few days, but now I'm much better that I could sit for a long time. haha It's still a bit difficult to breathe, though. When asthma strikes... X_X
ROOM REVEAL~!!!!!
Now, let me show you the photos I took earlier today. I used a wide-shot angle, so the whole room would be seen.
The new look made their room more comfortable and bigger. The blue and brown accents were also really nice to look at. The curtain mama chose to use this time is also really beautiful. It looks pretty different from what it used to. Great job, especially to papa. I hope I could have helped more, but still... their room looks amazing! <3
Whenever my aunts and cousins come over, they usually stay in this room because there's a large bed and some could even sleep on the floor. Aside from my room, their bed is my and my cousins' hangout place. We just laze around and play mobile games. Our doggy, Arashi, also sleeps in this room.
I must say, this is actually not just my parents' room, but everyone's. hahaha Well, since my room has a bigger space now, my cousins and I can sleep there, so my mama and her sisters can have their bonding in this room. My papa and uncle usually just sleep in the living room when there are a lot of people around. :)
I miss bonding with them... our rooms are ready! hahaha
Thank you so much for checking out this post. I hope you enjoy it! Have a great one and see you again! (^_^)/
