I was in two minds whether I should write something for this week's challenge or not. Sure I have asked this question to my students, but I actually haven't thought of mine. For ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #58, the question is "What's Your Bucket List?"
I actually just want to live a simple and stress-free life. However, if I were to name some off the top of my head... here they are. :)
GO TO JAPAN
This is a place in Japan that I want to go someday. I painted it.
Japan has always been my dream country ever since I was young. I grew up watching anime and because of that I wanted to go the place where it originated.
My dream of going to Japan simply started with that but when I met a lot of Japanese friends and students, I got more interested with their culture, history, tradition and so on. I also tried studying Japanese by myself though I haven't really been that successful with it. haha
Most people would mention visiting Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, but in my case... it's a bit different. I'm not a fan of big cities and crowded places. Although, Akihabara and Ikebukuro are on my list given that I'm an otaku, I prefer visiting natural places which are away from the city center.
As in my painting, I want to go to Kumano Kodo in Mie. I also want to visit Yakushima where the anime "Mononoke Hime" was inspired. And since I'm a fan of Japanese "yokai", I'd love to visit Mizuki Shigeru Road in Tottori and Tono City in Iwate. Going to Iwate would also mean going to Ohtani Shohei's hometown. <3
Aside from those places, I also want to go to some places featured in my favorite anime like Sendai Gymnasium (Haikyuu!) or Chichibu (AnoHana)... and a lot more!
PUBLISH MY OWN BOOK
Aside from watching anime, reading and painting, I love writing so much... especially poems. I have written more than a hundred poetry pieces... and I'm still writing more. So one day, I really hope to collect all my favorites and publish it as a book.
Poetry is my way of expressing myself... and most of my creations are based on my experiences or feelings. They might be random at times, but I really do enjoy it and I hope that more people would read it. Hive has been a great platform for my poems, but I've always wanted to have a physical copy of them... in a form of a book.
For now, I keep them in a big notebook... and I'm still trying to find the other small notebooks or papers where I wrote my other poems... or at least the drafts.
Speaking of books, I've also really wanted to make my own manga... even a one-shot one or a doujinshi. I used to write stories and fanfictions in the past, so creating a storyline wouldn't be that hard. However, I am yet to improve my drawing skills to make it possible.
And yes... I want to do it the traditional way... just like in Bakuman (anime) and not in a digital way. haha
HAVE A HOUSE WITH A FARM or BY THE BEACH
As I've mentioned earlier, I'm not a fan of big cities and crowded places, so it's always been my dream to have my own house in the countryside. Aside from that, I'd love to have my own farm where I could plant a lot of various types of vegetables and fruits as well as some ornamental plants. It's really my ideal life to just live quietly and enjoy life in my own simple and refreshing way. I'd also love to take care of some farm animals like pig, goats, chicken, etc. We used to have some pigs and chickens when we lived in the countryside before. <3 It was simple, yet fun.
I also want to live close to the sea... I want to be greeted by the beautiful sunrise and fresh morning waves... then I'd go stargazing at night. That'll be perfect...
The things on my bucket list aren't that extreme... there might be some activities that I'd like to do as well, but we'll discover more of them in the future. haha That's it for my entry. Thanks for reading and see you around! :D
