I recently saw a post from @TheyCallMeDan titled "#TopHivers Initiative," and I decided this would be a good opportunity to give some of my favorite Hive authors some more exposure.
🏆 #TopHivers Initiative 🐝
The ASEAN Hive Community is a new project I've been working on for a few weeks, and it's given me an opportunity to focus some of my Hive efforts on curating exclusively Southeast Asian content.
With the @asean.hive curation account I've discovered many amazing content creators living in, traveling through and from Southeast Asia.
For this @TheyCallMeDan initiative, I'd like to share with you all three of my favorite Southeast Asian Hive content creators. The original post with rules and information by @TheyCallMeDan can be found here - TopHivers Initiative.
@KennyRoy 👷
Filipino Hiver @KennyRoy is a devoted Dad and resident ASEAN Hive Community engineer. He's been active since mid-2017, and his more recent Hive posts contain a lot really cool and engaging instructional videos.
@KennyRoy's videos have soothing background music and awesome animated intros. The @KidSisters really want to build the professional grade kite he put together so gracefully.
He produces several posts a week consistently, and I've listed three of my favorites below. I think this will give you a good idea of the quality content this super-Dad produces. Follow @KennyRoy and smash the upvote button 100%, as many of his awesome posts don't reach the payout the deserve.
@VietThuy 👩🍳
ASEAN Hive Community's resident chef is Vietnamese user @VietThuy. She is also prolific with her instructional cooking videos, and although not in English, are still fun to watch because she demonstrates the technique so clearly that language is not needed.
In addition to her easy-to-follow videos, she also writes up a Vietnamese/English post for all of us English speakers who want to write down or read the cooking method ingredient list.
@VietThuy doesn't post very often, but recently her posting frequency has increased, so the family and I have been supporting her as much as possible, but our curation power is limited. As a vegan, I can't enjoy all of her creations, but it's easy to see that she puts a lot of love and care into her cooking. Her posts are underpaid, so please show @VietThuy some Hive love.
@StrayKat 👩🎨
@StrayKat is another used I've been curating with the @asean.hive account, and she is based in the Philippines, posting quite often about a wide variety of things, from food to art, music and more. I personally like the variety of topics, and I never know what gem I may find when browsing through her blog posts.
She is very artsy and creative, and I enjoy not knowing what surprise scrolling through her blog will bring. Most of her posts get good payouts, but a few slip through the cracks, and I wish I was able to support her more.
Drop by her blog, she posts almost daily, so you'll always find some new and engaging content.
Sorry Not On Twitter 🐤
A big part of @TheyCallMeDan's initiative was to share this post on twitter using the #tophivers and #hive hashtags. I unfortunately am not on Twitter, and have no aim to be. I have even been considering getting rid of all non-Hive social media as it already consumes much time.
I still have Facebook, so I have taken the time to show #posh for Facebook below.
