How disappointing is Cyberpunk 2077 ?

Hello you !

You can be here for several reasons, maybe you're looking for opinions about the game to know if you will buy it or not, maybe you want to see other people who love it or hate it. And you will have it here !

My first memory about the development of this game is pretty old. Like 7 years ago, when this thing happened :

I really remember that moment. I was with friends of mine, playing Saints Row The Third in coop mod.

We were looking for videos maybe to solve a quest we were to bad players to finish it alone, and I saw this video. When it finished I instantly shared the link to them and we were mostly talking about the girl... We were 14 year old.. you know.. hormones... 😓

I remember that some weeks after that I totally forgot the name of the game and I could find the video anymore. This changed only years after, when more trailers started to be released. I don't know when I started to follow the project but I know it was at least months before the even I'll tell you.

I think I just had some flash in my head when the 40 minute length gameplay arrived in the 2018 E3. I started to make some research and this seemed to me to be really looking like this wonderful old trailer I saw 5 years ago. And this made me liking Cyberpunk even more because I realized that I was waiting for it for years while I was thinking this was only for months.

Since this moment, like a lot of people I'm waiting for this game, and the wait was becoming harder and harder as the release date was becoming closer.

I was waiting it so much that at a moment, for work I needed to make my ShowReel as an editor. And while I was browsing a lot of free licensed musics, the only one I liked was this one because it was remembering me something, without knowing what :

When I finally discovered what it was remembering me, I just realized that the wait was really getting way too long.

That's why you probably understand me when I was sad to hear that the game was appearing to be a déception for a lot of streamers. Bugs, glitches and bad rhythm. That was killing me.

But I just remembered something that happened 4 years ago. Fallout 4 did a bad launch. Most of player were disappointed. But, I really enjoyed the game. And the mods solved most of the problems. That's why I played it a lot

I know that people played it more but it's still a pretty high score for most of people.

And if there is something I was still sure the hour, the minute and the last seconds before its release, Cyberpunk 2077 is necessarily better in every aspect of the game than Fallout 4.

That's why I was waiting, in front of my screen, for the exact hour, to click on "update" for the patch, and wait 15 that steam stop to crash and play the game. And there is my biggest problem.

I love it.

I took like 20 minutes to choose the correct option to have the best performance and the best graphics possible with my 1080 in 1440p. And, it's just absolutely great.

I don't have a lot of bugs, and most of them are insignificant. I really love the graphics, the guns, the story. I just don't understand what is the problem with a lot of people.

I know it's not perfect and a lot of problems will be solved in the next months. I also hope they'll add a great création kit for modder because this would really be huge the have this game modded.

I'm so much in love in that game that I played it more than 17hours in the 24 forts hours after it came out.

Now I will need to force me to do other things of my life than just playing because I find this game really great. I love to discover that there is some easter eggs in it, to hear some of the jokes.

For me, this is the game I was expecting, maybe even more. My only disappointment is that RTX 3080 founder edition are still sold out so I'll need to wait longer before enjoying the game in RTX 144Hz 1440p ultra. But I'm really happy with my medium 50fps for now !
