Getting a few games off my mind

Sometimes we just want to get something off the backlog of games to try. There are gamers who want to beat everything, but not me. A very short trial is often more than enough to understand if I should invest a lot of time in it or not, even if they are good products. This is where hobby baggage pays off. Here are three games I've recently tested.

Remnants of Naezith (on Steam)

Speedrunning with hooks in a hardcore platformer can be very fun, but I'm not too crazy about this. After about twenty levels into the game, I've started having to spend over 20 minutes into a single level. More often than not, that level would normally be beatable under 20 seconds after we properly learn how to do it and get it right on the first shot. Remnants of Naezith is certainly a fun game for the first hour or so for those with experience in platforming, but a must pass if you're not looking for a highly demanding experience.

Dog Sled Saga (on Steam)

Not quite an idle game or a clicker, even though it closely resembles one. You take care of your dogs and mostly race with them. But you don't actually see any yourself overtaking your opponents nor get to make any turns, as the game is not focused on the racing aspect. All you do in races is feed your dogs. The overall management experience gets all the attention in Dog Sled Saga, but it feels somewhat lacking. Dogs feel more like assets. It's all too impersonal. It doesn't help how repetitive it quickly becomes, but the pixel art and low price tag try to make up for me. In the end, I do not recommend it.

Everything (on Steam)

A bunch of deers grouped up, rolling across the grass instead of walking forward. This game had me very intrigued, so I couldn't pass it up when it showed again on a bundle at a time I could afford it. I have to say, it surpassed my expectations. It is not quite a game, but an experience almost literally out of this world. Those with interest in in the philosophies of our universe should get Everything, no matter what. Seriously, it is very, very fascinating.
