The eagle has appeared on all coins since 1947, both circulation and commemorative coins. Previously, it was a French protectorate and the eagle did not appear on coins, for obvious reasons, I think. Thanks for your comment!
If you want to collect the entire circulation silver collection of Syrian coins with an eagle, you have a very easy task ahead of you, as there are only five of them. They are cheap and easily available. There are also two gold circulation coins but with an RRR rarity rating. Be sure to write a post when you make your silver mini collection, have fun!
