The first time I had one of these attached to my head I didn't know what to do! They suck up a full 40% of your health, and although you can jump higher they make you significantly weaker.
Just go into the water or let a teammate shoot them off your face! (What could go wrong??) These parasites attach themselves to chickens, wolves, boars and are often seen around the Orchard or near the edge of the storm.
You can land on one of these big UFOs and usually find a ray gun or at least some sort of weapon before descending to the island. Sometimes they even beam you on board for a special minigame where you use a jetpack to jump around and collect time orbs. You get a shockwave blaster that lets you knock other opponents away, its interesting but I prefer battle royale myself.
Still there are plenty of normal showdowns taking place, besides all the alien stuff. Here is an elimination I made thismorning.
