At the time it was explained that It is a card game in the style Magic: The Gathering where you can purchase cards and receive a mix of summoners and monsters, and then you'll get to fight and win prizes.
Trade cards with other players to maximize your deck and over time, empower your monsters with items and new abilities. As they fight they'll earn experience points, level, and grow more powerful.
Since then a lot has changed but not the enthusiasm, the fascination of so many passionate players, and the growing success.
My Personal Experience
Soon I started collecting cards, but I didn't play, my idea was just to hold them, as an investment, believing that they could be valued in the future.
I was right, the cards were valued amazingly, but not playing left me out of the best part, the prizes in reward cards and DECs. Dark Energy Cristal, which are $ worth tokens.
So I finally decided to start playing, and the cards that I had already saved were very useful to me, today I don't miss any tournament, I improved my decks even more and for a few seasons, I started reaching the TOP 50 players and I was very proudly.
Every day I log in to play tournaments and complete my daily mission, eventually, I find a legendary gold foil card and this leaves me ecstatic.
The most important thing, however, is that the game is very good, fun, and intelligent, you need to use logic, calculation, develop your reasoning, and come up with winning strategies.
I always liked chess and I became a strong player, and I can say that Splinterlands has many similar elements and that is why I like this game so much.
Another wonderful aspect is that there is a community that exchanges information and knowledge through its publications on the blogs of Steem and Hive blockchains, and these posts can be remunerated by earning upvotes from the official account of the game and also from other passionate users.
I've already written about my experiences, battle strategies, created card contests as a prize, and even made a newsletter about the game.
Now I got the idea to talk about the history of the game and how it has developed over time. I hope you like it...
