Hello fellow readers and Hive-enthusiasts
In my first Splinterlands post here on Hive, I'm focusing on a little slimy guy who can save the day. To celebrate my first post, there's also a giveaway. But first things first.

I've been playing Splinterlands since about January 2022 and the game has totally hooked me!
At the beginning it was a bit frustrating, but believe me it will get better.
Currently I play in the area of Silver 1 and I am a member of the Legendary Dragons community.

As I said, today I want to talk about a card that has a very important ability and has already secured me many victories.

Hmm a ooze: mana cost 1, speed 1, life 1 not very powerfull or? Wait...there's one more ability: Slow. Reduces the speed of all enemy monsters. This ability is very strong, in the bronze and silver leagues speed is enormously important and often decides about victory or defeat.

Let's look at an example.

All monsters get the Enrage ability, No ranged attacks, 15 mana and only the Red Splinter ^{(I don't really like red normally...)}

Thanks to my Ooze, my monsters have more speed and my Serpentine Spy can attack first, then nothing can really go wrong and the victory is mine!
If I had played another card without Slow instead of the Ooze, I would have been dependent on randomness and who wants to be that 😁.

Hallo Mitleser und Hive-Verrückte
In meinem ersten Splinterlands Post hier auf Hive widme ich mich einem kleinen schleimigen Kerlchen, der einen so manches Mal retten kann. Zur Feier meines ersten Posts gibt es noch etwas zu gewinnen, aber eins nach dem anderen.

Ich spiele Splinterlands seit ca. Januar 2022 und das Spiel hat mich total gepackt!
Zu Beginn war es zwar etwas frustrierend, aber glaubt mir es wird besser.
Zur Zeit spiele ich im Bereich von Silber 1 und bin Mitglied im Gildenverbund der Legendary Dragons.

Wie gesagt will ich heute auf eine Karte eingehen, die eine sehr wichtige Fähigkeit hat und mir schon so manchen Sieg gesichert hat.

Hmm ein Schleim: Manakosten 1, Geschwindigkeit 1, Leben 1 nicht besonders mächtig oder? Moment...da ist noch eine Fähigkeit: Verlangsamung.
Reduziert die Geschwindigkeit aller gegnerischen Monster.
Diese Fähigkeit ist sehr stark, in den Bronze- und Silber-Ligen ist Geschwindigkeit enorm wichtig und entscheidet nicht selten über Sieg oder Niederlage.

Schauen wir uns ein Beispiel an.

Alle Monster erhalten die Enrage-Fähigkeit, keine Distanzangriffe, 15 Mana und nur der Rote Splinter ist erlaubt ^{(Rot liegt mir normalerweise nicht wirklich...)}

Dank meines Ooze haben meine Monster mehr Geschwindigkeit und mein Serpentine Spy kann zuerst angreifen, danach kann eigentlich nichts mehr schief gehen und der Sieg gehört mir!
Hätte ich anstelle des Ooze eine andere Karte ohne Slow gespielt, wäre ich vom Zufall abhängig gewesen und wer will das schon sein 😁.
