Greetings friends, I hope you are very well today. A few days ago I made a post of a first part of a visit I made to the monumental tower in the neighborhood of retiro, as I went up to the viewpoint located on the 6th floor and took some pictures with a NIKKOR 55-200mm lens. I was able to capture some images of the surroundings of the tower and this time I bring you a second part, as the tower has a 360 degree view and offers several landscapes that I could not share in the previous post.

As the tower is very close to the Buquebus terminal I was able to take a picture of one of these transports that travel to the neighboring country Uruguay and another landscape where the Rio de la Plata is shown. We have a traffic circle behind the monumental tower and government buildings, if I am not mistaken it is a consulate.

You can also see a factory and in the surroundings a not very nice area because it is the famous Villa 31, it is a very dangerous Villa, a small part of the Retiro neighborhood that is not very pleasant to visit because the crime there and in the surroundings is extremely important. You can see the houses that are like favelas.

Going back to the other side of the tower we find the famous Sheraton hotel, you can also see the tower of the Galicia bank and in front of the tower there is a huge grove where the San Martin square is located. It is still an impressive view of this neighborhood and its surroundings, this time it can be seen from this NIKKOR lens, being the second part of this series of two posts.

Saludos amigos, espero estén muy bien el día de hoy. Hace pocos días hice un post de una primera parte de una visita que hice a la torre monumental en el barrio de retiro, pues subí al mirador que se encuentra en el piso 6 y aproveché de tomar algunas fotos con un lente NIKKOR 55-200mm. Pude capturar algunas imágenes de los alrededores de la torre y en ésta oportunidad les traigo una segunda parte, ya que la torre tiene una vista 360 grados y ofrece varios paisajes que no pude compartir en el anterior post.

Cómo la torre se encuentra muy cerca del terminal de Buquebus pude hacer una foto de uno de estos transportes que viajan al país vecino Uruguay y a otro paisaje donde se muestra el río de la plata. Tenemos una rotonda detrás de la torre monumental y edificios gubernamentales, sino me equivoco es un consulado.

También se pueden observar una fábrica y en los alrededores una zona no muy agraciada pues se trata de la famosa Villa 31, es una Villa muy peligrosa, una pequeña parte del barrio de Retiro que no es muy agradable de visitar pues la delincuencia allí y en los alrededores es sumamente importante. Se pueden observar las casas que son tipo favelas.

Volviendo al otro lado de la torre nos encontramos con el famoso hotel Sheraton, también se puede observar la torre del banco Galicia y frente a la torre una enorme arboleda dónde se encuentra la plaza San Martín. No deja de ser una vista impresionante de este barrio y de sus alrededores, en esta ocasión se puede apreciar desde este lente NIKKOR, siendo la segunda parte de ésta serie de dos posts.

Hello @dimascastillo90... A fantastic work, excellent shots in every way, some very urban in medium plan and others very urban landscape in more open plan... I have a Nikkor 55-200mm and I can tell you that it is a very sharp lens with very good light absorption even between F /8 and F/11... at 55mm and F/4.5 it's charmingly bright and tones down the contrast a little dramatically but lovely, great for more "intimate" street shots as if you had a 50mm fixed on... It is also excellent for nature photos (if you learn to approach carefully so as not to disturb birds, insects or whatever you want to photograph) because at regular distances of up to 2 or 3 meters it has good bokeh even at F/8... Good job mate, nice to see this...

Thank you very much dear friend @jlinaresp this is a very valuable commentary with very good information. After going out to take pictures with this lens I can say that it is one of the lenses I use the most as I can take all kind of pictures and replace the 50mm when I am in an open space 😁.
