Greetings friends! Today I bring you some photos of flowers that I took in a park in the neighborhood of Caballito in the city of Buenos Aires. This time I wanted to portray them in a different way, three different styles, since I didn't want "common" photos, if you could say so.
Gardenia Jasminoides is the name of the first three plants, originally from China and that require a soil with a lot of iron and a lot of humidity, the average height of this plant is around 2 mts.
Saludos amigos! Hoy les traigo algunas fotos de flores que tomé en un parque en el barrio de Caballito en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. En ésta oportunidad quise retratarlas de una manera diferente, tres diferentes estilos, ya que no quería fotos "comunes" si se podría decir de alguna manera.
Gardenia Jasminoides es el nombre de las primeras tres plantas, originarias de China y que requieren de una tierra con mucho hierro y mucha humedad, la altura promedio de esta planta ronda los 2 mts.

Here I show you two versions of this first photo, one in black and white and the other in sepia. Depending on each style, it seems to me that it gives a different perception or can transmit different emotions.
Acá les muestro dos versiones de esta primera foto, una en blanco y negro y otra en sepia. Dependiendo de cada estilo, me parece que da una percepción diferente o que pueden transmitir emociones distintas.

To take pictures of this kind I used my kit lens 18-55mm, it was the one I had on hand and I think it is very good for this kind of photography, however I would suggest using a lens with a longer focal length, macro lenses, maybe a 200 or 300mm. It all depends on what you want to capture and express.
Here I leave a couple of additional photos of this plant that, to mention an additional fact, has more than 200 species and all are very similar, at least for me. The season where they grow is in autumn and spring.
Para hacer fotos de este tipo utilicé mi lente de kit 18-55mm, era el que tenía a la mano y me parece que es muy bueno para hacer esta clase de fotografía, sin embargo mucho sugieren usar lente con más distancia focal, lentes macro, tal vez un 200 o 300mm. De igual forma todo va a depender de lo que quieras captar y expresar.
Acá les dejo un par de fotos adicionales de esta planta que, para mencionar un dato adicional, tiene más de 200 especies y todas son muy parecidas, al menos para mí. La temporada en dónde se dan los cultivos son en otoño y primavera.

Here are the versions of these other two photos in black and white and sepia. As I mentioned before, I wanted to express them in different styles by applying these editions that go from cinematographic to the two previous versions already mentioned.
Acá les dejo las versiones de éstas otras dos fotos en blanco y negro y en sepia. Cómo mencioné anteriormente, quise expresarlas en distintos estilos aplicando éstas ediciones que van desde el cinematográfico hasta las dos anteriores versiones ya mencionadas.

Climbing Rose
(Rosa Trepadora)
This type of roses are the ones that abound in the different gardens that exist in the city or in different parks of many neighborhoods. They have a very intense color as well as their fragrance, however, they can also be found in other colors such as white, red, pink, violet, etc.
Éste tipo de rosas son las que abundan en los distintos jardines que hay en la ciudad o en diferentes parques de muchos barrios. Tienen un color muy intenso igual que su fragancia, sin embargo también se pueden encontrar en otros colores como el blanco, rojo, rosa, violeta, etc.
They are called this way because their way of growing or flowering is upwards, that is why they are called climbers. Obviously I also leave you a black and white and sepia version of this interesting species.
Se les llama de esta forma ya que su forma de crecer o de florecer es hacia arriba por ello se les dice trepadoras. Obviamente también les dejo una versión en blanco y negro y sepia de esta especie tan interesante.

Bayahibe Rose

This is another of the plants that abound in these gardens and originates in the Dominican Republic, has many thorns and can reach a height of more than 5 meters. In interesting this type of photography as you focus on the details of these flowers or plants. I have realized that nature photography gives you another kind of sensations when practicing this photographic style, being able to say that it is becoming one of my favorites 😍
Ésta es otra de las plantas que abundan en estos jardines y se origina en la República Dominicana, tiene muchas espinas y puede llegar a tener una altura de más de 5 mts. En interesante este tipo de fotografías ya que te centras en los detalles de estas flores o plantas. Me he dado cuenta que la fotografía de naturaleza te da otro tipo de sensaciones al practicar este estilo fotográfico, pudiendo decir que se está convirtiendo en uno de mis favoritos 😍
I was excited to do these comparisons because apart from photography I love editing and being able to play with adjustments, tones, saturation, shadows. And for this kind of photos I really like black and white so we can adjust the shadows, add some vignettes, accentuate whiter areas and much more.

Me emocionó la idea de hacer éstas comparativas porque aparte de la fotografía me encanta la edición y poder jugar con los ajustes, tonos, saturación, sombras. Y para este tipo de fotos me gusta muchísimo el blanco y negro así podemos ajustar las sombras agregar algo de viñetas, acentuar zonas más blancas y mucho más.
