I finally started playing Rising Star. I hadn't realized that you didn't have to buy packs of cards in order to play the game. If I had known you didn't need to make a purchase to start playing I would had started long ago.

Rather or not I needed to buy packs to start playing, I came into the game the other day planning on buying packs. They are music themed NFT game cards and the market for them is growing well. It's not Splinterlands numbers yet, but I think it has potential.
Each pack costs 5 HIVE or 10,000 Starbits. At the time I didn't think about checking the Starbits price on Hive Engine, and when I did, I discovered you can buy Rising Star NFT card packs for less HIVE by purchasing packs with Starbits. You can also pay using HIVE PIZZA and other tokens. I did not compare costs with those tokens.
Stig gave my account a nice needed boost with those 125 fans and 175 skill points. You want to balance those points or have more skill than fans.

You can also purchase 12 packs for 50 HIVE or 24 packs for 100 HIVE. There is also an option to purchase 12 packs for 100,000 Starbits.
I purchased my next batch of card packs with HIVE in order to get the bonus Beethoven NFT card. Which as an in game market value of around 30 HIVE or so. That made buying 12 packs for 50 HIVE instead of 100,000 a better value. There are only 500 Beethoven card total.
Another larger Hive play to earn game asset investment this week.
