Good morning everyone, I made a new character for the @holozing game and @zingcontent and decided to share it here, his name....... VOLKARIS. Prompted a backstory for this character and here it is..
Backstory of VOLKARIS
In forgotten times, when the skies raged with endless storms, an ancient order of rune-masters sought to capture lightning itself. They inscribed their most powerful rune into a hollowed ball that traps souls, believing it would store the storm’s fury. But during a cataclysmic thunderstrike, the ball was struck directly by heaven’s fire — and something awakened within.
That being was Volkaris, the Rune of Wrath made flesh. Its jagged, pumpkin-like face became a mask for the storm’s spirit, forever grinning with crackling energy. Unlike other rune-born creatures, Volkaris could not be controlled; its lightning rune burned too fiercely, searing itself into its core.
When threatened, Volkaris folds into a sphere of pure current, rolling across the battlefield like a living stormfront. Every strike it delivers is accompanied by a thunderclap, and the rune across its face pulses brighter with each surge.
Whispered legends call it “The Lantern of the Tempest” — a cursed guardian that appears on nights when thunder shakes the earth. To see its lightning rune glow in the dark is both a warning and a promise: the storm is already here.
The Inspiration
Was inspired by genmar in Pokémon game, and the popular Halloween 🎃 pumpkin, and since @acidyo said in the whitepaper of the game that his Inspiration came from Pokémon, i decided to draw mine from same place, hope you like it @acidyo

Drawing Process 🎨
From the story, Volkaris is a ball made flesh, so i started by drawing a ball/sphere and attaching hands and limbs to it, did it with a pencil though, to erase any mistakes made, then proceeded to outline the drawing with different colored Ballpoint Pens, then i used the pencil to paint it ash color, same pencil i used to shade it.
I did this with love and the hope for new characters in the game, more are coming from me, stay tuned 😉
