RE: #needleworkmonday :: Repurposing an old bedsheet into a home dress

It is so lovely of you to sew you mother dresses. ANd it is even nicer she loves them and makes good use of them. I love the fabric design you are using for the new one, as it has the perfect summer colors for me: soft pastels. But I remember you writing, you are afraid to sew others garments??! I would get an heart attack cutting a pattern and sewing something without a pattern which is tested and explained :-DDDD In sewing I lack every bit of improvisation will and talent. Your dress is amazing and you did it completely by yourself without a pattern, I am amazed 😮😮😮
By the way did you see the new H&M advertisement? My mother brought it to my attention. They showed several super wide dresses with and without sleeves some with a ruffle added at the hem and sometimes belted. These wide and long dresses seem to be the piece. I guess the most complicated part would be the sleeves, but the rest.... I am pondering to try to sewn one (means for me searching such a pattern). I thought perhaps you have fun to try such a dress, if you have more of these floral fabrics.

Oh wow.. that dresses look like the sheet don't they? :D Thank you for sharing the video. That is quite an inspiration.
Yes, no pattern BUT you see, my template is sooooo simple, far far compared to yours. Yours has structure and requires technique and skill. Mine just sew straight a little bit of curve :D But thank you for the vote of confidence. It means a lot <3. I might just give more blouses (simple ones hehe) a try.
