Something About Mountains

I'm not sure what it is about mountains? They make me smile. They make me wonder. So old and majestic just sitting there chilling while we all mill around doing or thing until one by one we extinguish, but the mountains stay. A backdrop for the next generation. Majestic and magical, boundless and beautiful. That is nature. Sustaining us in it's unboastful and pure way.

Here are some photos I took today to participate in my friend @phortun's contest. I hope you like the photos which is what this one is all about, so I won't wax lyrical.

Check out his post here and why not have a go yourself?

Catching up on what I have missed in the past few days and just saw this post... Thanks for trying to join my photography contest mate, really kind of you, but please always make sure to submit your entry as a comment in my contest post too :) Pick one picture and tell us something about it, at least were and when (to make sure it´s not older than 7 days) you took it. Thanks!

Ah cool, thanks man, I think I've done it right now 👌

You did, thanks! :)

Legit! I'll be there someday.

Ya should, you'd like it here I'd say. Have you ever been to Europe?

I have, several times, the UK too. I think Ireland would be a tripnid it's own, or at least I'd want to spend a couple weeks there not just several days. It's the same with Scotland. I like to become immersed so need some time. I spent four weeks in England and never got north of Oxford. Lol.

Beautiful. It's both desolate and full of life. Love the ones with the rocks and the wizened, wind blown tree.

It's both desolate and full of life.

Ya it's a good way of describing it.

I love the sideways hawthorn bushes too. It's a great way to know what the prevailing wind is!

🥶I adore hawthorn too.
