The patio looks really good! We looked at a big umbrella like that at one point too. Given the size, you definitely got an awesome deal on it. We don't really fraternize with our neighbors like that. The ones on one side are quite old, the ones on the other are quite young and a bit annoying, though they seem to make friends with everyone. The ones across the street... I'm sure the problem is us. We just aren't very social.

Yeah it was a good deal considering. Things can be expensive here for no good reason.
The problem night be you. Though most people are similar to you these days too. The neighbour I was talking with has been friends with my wife for 25 years and his wife with my wife for 35 years. Their daughter is my wife's goddaughter - so it is not quite random neighbour. However, we are making friends where we can abd we talk often with the 80+ year olds right next to us. We will take them sone freshly picked raspberries soon :)
Ah, okay, that definitely makes a difference! I am pretty positive the problem is probably us. We like the comfort of our little bubble... :)
