Good Coffee

You can’t beat a good cup of coffee.

I was in town to get some additional medals engraved for my son's winning soccer team. Why me? Well I'm the head coach. The engraving was going to take 30 minutes, as he had some work to finish before starting my job.

Time for a coffee I thought.

The young lad is starting to build quite a collection of medals now. It was plaques in my day, but these days it's medals that they win.

That one in the bottom left is special to him as his school have reached the All Ireland finals which will take place next Tuesday at the Aviva stadium in Dublin.

Only 12 schools from thousands qualified from around Ireland. 4 big schools, 4 medium schools, 4 small schools (<80 pupils)

They had to win regional qualifier against 7 other schools, 1 goes through. They then had to win a Galway qualifier against 7 other schools, 1 goes through. Lastly they had the Connacht qualifier with 5 schools, 1 goes through.

They won every game other than their first in Connacht against a Mayo school. Luckily Sligo beat Mayo, so they got a play off against Mayo and beat them on pens... They even got special kit for the day and all!
