I'll say it again
Some things are worth repeating.
That is especially true in our little microcosm of society on Hive. Many many many posts go unread here on Hive. Some get a cursory glance by a handful. Some do get read. Many come and go without notice though, especially for those who are new to the platform.
So with that said, I'm going to reiterate something I posted about a few months ago. That way more people might read it.
I actually fell out of the habit of doing it myself, but after doing it today I felt much better and ready for the day.
It's pretty simple.
It's a morning ritual.
Make your morning coffee or tea or whatever and walk barefoot upon the earth.
I guess I'm lucky in so far as I have a nice lush green garden to walk upon, but honestly, so long as it is bare feet on natural ground, it seems to work.
So kick off the shoes, socks, flip flops, whatever. Let those toes roam free and enjoy the sounds around you, whether the sound is nature in a rural setting or the hustle and bustle of city life, tune into it and enjoy it.
Try to resonate with it.
Be at one with nature, with yourself.
My setting is a rural one. Farmers fields surround my property.
I look at the Farmer's field next to my garden and the contrast between the wild field on the left and the manicured lawn on the right. If they could talk, which would be happier? My money would be on the wild and freely growing field. Maybe we can learn something there?
Be free.
Go with the flow.
No need to conform to societal norms and allow society to mow us into something that fits a certain standard.
Just be and if at all possible be happy just being.
It sounds very uncomplicated.
That's because it is.
Life is as complicated as we make it.
We have choices.
Deep down, life is simple. Breath in. Breath out. Sustain yourself with food and water and surround yourself with good people.
I've chosen the simple life of late and I love it.
Now thats what you call a tangent!
Right back to the wall.
Dry stone walls like these are fierce common in Ireland, but for those that don't have them in their country, they are very charming.
I have walls like this on two sides of our boundary and I do like the rustic look that they give to the place.
There could well be a story in some of these stones, as they have been around longer than us humans. My ancestors may have used some of them for different tasks or as part of a fort way back in the day. Perhaps they were used as stepping stones to pass a marshy terrain? Who knows.
Speaking of stone and I'll finish on this point.
Don't be like Mr. Green stone above with a frown.
You'll attract happy people and happy situations if you're outwardly happy yourself and that smile at a stranger might be just what they needed today to lighten their day.
Thanks as always for stopping by everyone
Peace Out
