Well... You miss a big point and that is...

the risk of fiat currency devaluation and India is at big risk, coz of fiscal deficit, there is not much Foreign investment as they pulled out, and economy is not doing well...

INR devaluation an happen lke it happened with Sri Lanka..so keeping all your money in banks is not a option... you definitely need to diversify.

USD devaluation is a risk that an happen as well...

What would your diversifiation statergy be???

Select your investment banks wisely...see if they have a provision to reimburse you if there is NPA...

Select good investments...time it wise... I mean don't buy the tops, buy the dips and don't invest the money you can't afford to lose!!
