LOH Contest #179: Lección de mí madre [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone in the Ladies of Hive community! Today I join the contest of the week #179 which is related to women, those with whom we have admired or share a family/emotional relationship and who have left us some mark through circumstances. So for this occasion I will dedicate myself to telling an anecdote that has to do with my mother, because although in my life many other women have taught me some important lessons and that to this day I continue to put into practice (or at least I try to) , the one that stays with me is this one. Accompany me.

I will start by talking about my mother, who has been the main person in teaching me several things. I remember that since I was little, my mother had a special way of being with my sister and me regarding everything that she had to do with the tasks that corresponded to us in our free hours. Extracurricular activities. My dad and my mom realized that I really liked to draw, paint and also imitate the characters from the cartoons and movies that I watched. For me it was fun to do that (for me it was a game), but they soon realized that they should enroll me in activities related to those things that I liked.

So my mother decided to enroll me in Theater because she considered that she had the skills for that. My name was Marina Baura, although honestly I didn't understand that (I did grow up) hahaha at that time, I regularly attended my classes and I liked it a lot because we did a lot of exercises that had to do with body expression, acting, speaking in public, reading and so on. I really enjoyed that stage of theater because it was exciting to do small performances in schools and artistic centers with my theater classmates. Unfortunately I did not follow that Theater route because later I found other passions (education and the plastic arts).

However, I can now learn a great lesson from my mother and that is that before I did not understand why she put so much effort and effort into me dedicating myself to it. Now that I am older I can understand that she always believed in me, in my talents and my possibilities. Without realizing it, she was trying to teach me to follow a vocation in which she was good and in which she would also be happy. And she was. She was never very eloquent with me, rather she was very serious but I know that without saying it, she loved me very much and she just wanted to give me a chance in life. She was and is an unconditional support that I greatly appreciate. This (with that confidence that she gave me) is how I was able to follow my own steps for what I liked and wanted, doing it with discipline, determination and hard work. It's a lesson I learned from her; follow my dreams, put my heart into it and do it big. Finally, my friends, it is never too late to learn and value. Thank you very much for stopping by and reading my post.

You are right, it's never too late to learn and value as long as the mind is determined
