ecoTrain Question Of The Week Season 8.3 ~ Eradicating Environmental Pollution

in ecoTrain2 years ago

I guess that one of the things and most important thing we need, precisely my country Nigeria. I don't know how the environmental climate over there is here but I can say that our climatic change is becoming worst as the days go by.

This is my answer to the ecoTrain Question Of The Week Season 8.3:
that says
WHAT ACTION DO YOU THINK NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE?

I am someone who believes that for a system to work or for a solution to work, we have to begin with ourselves.

I know the government most especially in Nigeria hasn't been the best so far so good but when it comes to combating the climatic change, it has absolutely nothing to do with them or it may have nothing to do with the government.

When issues arise in the country, I hear ourselves call the governments of our countries out or perhaps our state for those mishaps when most of them are cursed by individuals who have refused to have a transformation of their thoughts.

Our problem, combatting the climatic change first and foremost starts from US* and as such, we are the solution to the problems we have created. As silly as that may sound, it is the truth.

Whatever we need to do to combat the climatic changes can never be complete without working on ourselves and our mentality and that is the grass root of our problems.

We've been taught right from school the various pollution we have and our it can affect our climate and also our health but fortunately, many of us are never taking heeds to those simple but technical reasons why those various types of pollution should be avoided.

I think the change we need to see is from us which is the grassroots of the problem. I think in most cases, the government can not do anything if the follower or the civilians are not doing the right things they were supposed to do and this situation is not left out.

We create with our hands the air pollution, water pollution, noise, land and the rest and these different types of pollution end up having an effect on our climate causing unnecessary and unwanted climatic changes that won't be of help or good to our health, our families, our livestock and plant.

The grassroots of the problem should be checked which is us checking ourselves and amending our ways to stop most of these climatic combat and only we can solve the problems.

Environmental pollution is an agent and as such, causes climatic changes, if and only if, we can eradicate individually our various ways in which we cause environmental pollution in our society, I guess it would be a great way of combatting the climatic change.

Each individual needs a change if we wish to avert climate change. There are various ways to avoid pollution and It starts from individuals' decisions. If we've ever had a thought about waiting, looking, or pointing hands at NGOs or governments to do this, then I bet that the chances of climate becoming worse are going to be great and the chances of we winning or combating this climate shall never happen.

We are the reason behind the drastic change of the global climate in these recent years and we only can win against it. We should learn not to cherish our profit over our health and the safety of others.

We are supposed to be part of the solution and not part of the pollution that is causing the climate changes in our environment.

Thank you once again for this beautiful question this week.
